About Xizuho

Xizuho was set up in Glasgow in 2021 by a small group of people who had spent years posting on behalf of cafes, trades businesses and shops without ever having a proper system for it. The idea was simple: a lot of local businesses in Glasgow know they should be active on social media, but nobody on their team has the time, or frankly the interest, to plan posts, answer comments and check what is working.

We started with a handful of clients around the West End and Paisley Road area, doing the posting and replying ourselves while we worked out what actually moved the needle for a joiner, a hairdresser or a small bakery. Five years on, we are still a team of 5, working out of our office on Paisley Road West, and we now cover 8 areas across Glasgow and the surrounding towns.

Why we exist

Our aim is not to make businesses "go viral" or to promise follower counts that mean nothing to a shop owner trying to fill Saturday appointments. We exist because a butcher, a physiotherapist or a garage in Glasgow needs their opening hours, offers and everyday work seen by people nearby who are already looking for what they sell. Social media, done properly, is a way to stay visible in your own neighbourhood — nothing more mystical than that.

Where we are headed

We are not trying to become a large agency serving clients across the country. Our plan is to keep the team small enough that the same people who set up an account still know the business a year later, and to keep adding services — we currently offer 9 — as local business owners ask for them. Growth for us means serving more of Glasgow well, not spreading thin across places we do not know.

What guides the work

Plain communication

We explain what we are doing and why, in terms a shop or trade business owner uses, not in marketing jargon. If a post did not perform, we say so and explain what we will try instead.

Local knowledge

Every account we run is tied to a real place in or around Glasgow. We factor in local events, weather-dependent trades and the rhythm of the week that matters to a specific business.

Steady, not sporadic

Posting once and disappearing for a month does more harm than good. We work to a fixed weekly schedule agreed with each client, so activity stays consistent.

How we organise the work

New clients often ask what actually happens after they sign up, so here is the process we follow step by step.

Content planning session for a local Glasgow business account
1

Initial conversation

We ask about the business, its busiest days, its regular customers and what has or has not worked on social media before. This usually takes a single call or visit to the premises.

2

Account review and plan

We look at existing profiles, check what is missing (opening hours, address, contact details) and put together a posting plan for the first month, including topics and rough timing.

3

Content collection

Depending on the business, we either visit to take photos or ask the owner to send a few images each week. Either way, we keep the ask small so it does not add work to their day.

4

Posting and monitoring

Posts go out on the agreed schedule. We monitor comments and messages during business hours and flag anything that needs the owner's direct reply, such as a booking question.

5

Monthly check-in

Once a month we go through what was posted, what got the most engagement, and adjust the plan for the next month based on that, not on guesswork.
