Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most often from shop owners, cafe managers and tradespeople in Glasgow who are looking into social media management for their business. If your question is not covered here, get in touch and we will reply within 3 hours during working hours.

It covers the day-to-day running of your business profiles on the platforms your customers actually use. This means planning a monthly content schedule, writing posts, sourcing or editing photos, responding to comments and messages, and reviewing which posts perform well so the next month improves on the last. For most local businesses we work with, this replaces the need to hire someone in-house or squeeze it into an already full day. We offer 9 separate services in total, from content creation to review management, and clients typically pick a combination that matches their goals rather than the full list.

Our base is in Glasgow and we currently cover 8 districts across the city and surrounding areas. Working locally means we can visit your premises to take photos, understand your customer base and speak to your team directly rather than relying only on video calls. Since 2021 we have served 125 clients across the city, which has given us a fair picture of what works for a Glasgow audience versus a generic national approach. If you are based just outside our usual coverage, ask us and we will let you know honestly whether it is practical for us to take you on.

We aim to reply within 3 hours during our working hours, which are Monday to Friday 08:30-16:30 and Saturday 09:00-15:00. We are closed on Sunday. If you send a message outside these hours, it will be picked up first thing the next working day. For anything urgent, calling us directly on +44 141 863 6311 is usually faster than email, especially early in the working week when enquiry volumes tend to be higher.

We focus on the platforms most relevant to local, in-person businesses, which for the majority of our clients means Facebook and Instagram, with Google Business Profile updates often included as part of a package since it directly affects how customers find you when searching nearby. Some clients also want a presence on TikTok, particularly food and retail businesses targeting a younger audience. We do not recommend spreading a small team's time across every platform available; instead we suggest starting with one or two where your actual customers spend time, based on your business type and location.

Not necessarily, though it helps if you can share what you already have, such as photos of your premises, products or staff. If you do not have material ready, we can visit your location to take photos as part of a content package, or work with stock imagery relevant to your industry where a site visit is not practical. We will always ask before publishing anything that features staff or customers, and we keep a simple content calendar you can review in advance so there are no surprises about what is going out under your business name.

The main difference is consistency and time. Many local business owners start strong on social media and then posting drops off during busy weeks, which is understandable given everything else running a shop or trade business involves. Our team of 5 handles the scheduling, writing and monitoring so posting stays regular even when you are fully booked elsewhere. Since 2021 we have completed 197 jobs for local businesses, and a recurring theme is that owners simply did not have the spare hours to keep a content plan going alongside daily operations.

Yes. We understand that local trade can be seasonal, particularly for hospitality and outdoor services affected by Glasgow weather patterns. Arrangements are discussed directly with each client rather than locked into a rigid long-term contract, so if you need to pause during a quiet period or scale down services temporarily, let us know and we will work out what makes sense. Of our 125 clients to date, 38 have returned for a second project after an initial pause, which suggests this flexible approach suits how local businesses actually operate.

Very little is required upfront. It helps if you can have login access to any existing business profiles ready, along with a rough idea of what you would like to achieve, whether that is more footfall, awareness of a new product line, or simply a more active presence than what you currently have. We will ask about your typical customer, your busiest days, and anything specific to your trade that a general approach might miss. From there we can suggest which of our 9 services are relevant and give you a realistic view of what to expect month to month.
